Our Commitment to Privacy
At Muvue, privacy isn't just a feature — it's the foundation of everything we build. Our AI model (Qwen3-0.6B-Embed) runs entirely on your device, meaning your search queries and movie preferences are processed locally and never leave your phone. Only semantic embeddings are matched against our cloud database to deliver results.
Data We Collect
We collect minimal data:
- Anonymous usage analytics (app opens, feature usage) to improve the app
- Crash reports to fix bugs and improve stability
- No personal information, search queries, or movie preferences are collected
On-Device Processing
Movie recommendations are generated using our on-device AI model combined with our cloud movie database. When you search for a movie by mood or theme:
- Your search query is processed locally on your iPhone using the Qwen3-0.6B-Embed model
- The AI model converts your query to a semantic embedding on-device
- Only the numerical embedding (not your actual text) is sent to our Pinecone database for matching
- Your actual search queries and text never leave your device
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Apple App Analytics: Anonymous usage data
- Firebase Crashlytics: Crash reporting
These services collect only anonymized, aggregated data and do not have access to your personal movie preferences or search history.
Your Rights
You can delete all local data at any time by uninstalling the app. Since we don't collect personal data on our servers, there's nothing to request deletion of.
